Tim Lobb graduated with a B.Sc in Horticulture in Australia in 1994 and proceeded to gain valuable experience employed with an Australian based design practice, working on golf resort development projects in Australia and Asia.
From 1998 to 2004 he was employed with European Golf Design. Throughout the 6 years with them he was responsible for all facets of golf course design and implementation and was lead designer for the following projects: O`Meara Course, In Association with Mark O`Meara (Carton House GC, Ireland), Pasha Course (Antalya GC, Turkey) & Vanajan Linna Golf & Country Club (Finland) and the remodelling of the following courses; Santo Da Serra GC (Portugal), Marriott Forest of Arden (UK) & Marriott Goodwood Park.
For the next 12 years Tim was a principal and managing director of Thomson Perrett & Lobb, TPL, completing projects in many countries of the world, including Egypt, Nigeria, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the UK. When the Chairman of TPL, the five times Open champion Peter Thompson, retired in 2016 aged 87, Tim launched his own design firm, called LOBB + PARTNERS. Tim is an avid proponent for professionalism and integrity, creativity, innovation and imagination in design and ensuring that construction is done correctly the first time.
