The first phase of the construction of 9 holes commenced in May 2016. Final completion is scheduled for autumn of 2017, with all 18 holes expected to be playable again in 2018.
The improvements to the nearly 90-year-old course are meant to prepare the entire course for the challenges of the future. A thorough facelift of some fairways, the restoration and redesign of all greens, tees, bunkers and a complete irrigation and drainage concept are planned.
British golf pro Tom Williamson designed the course in 1929 in the English championship style. Situated 685 metres above sea level, the par-72 course is characterised by beautiful surroundings and the superb view of the Zurich countryside.
