Rain Bird is strengthening its Golf team in the UK

Alastair Higgs joins Rain Bird team in the UK, as the Golf Sales Specialist.

Joining Rain Bird in September, Alastair is part of the growing team and will help strengthen Rain Bird’s position in the UK and Ireland markets.

In this newly created position, he will be in charge of visiting clubs, liaising with course personnel, providing support and spreading Rain Bird’s solutions of smart irrigation.

Alastair offers twelve years industry experience from Head Greenkeeper to Course Manager.

Starting with Crown Golf in 2004, Alastair worked towards Head Greenkeeper at Donnington Valley Golf Club before moving to a Course Manager position at Windlesham Golf Club in 2012. Alastair has a keen involvement in the golf industry and is active in organizations including BIGGA and GCMA Young Managers Group. He’s a keen golfer, providing him with a great understanding of both clubs and players’ expectations.
