Surrounded by plenty of tourist attractions and close to Estepona Beach, Doña Lucia will become in one of the 50 golf courses located in the famous Costa del Sol.
The turf grasses selected for the course have been Riviera Bermuda grass on fairways and Agrostis Stalonifera L93 XD on greens. The designer of this golf course is EIGCA Member Marco Martin, founder of Stirling&Martin Architects.
Doña Lucía Golf will be a very interesting and attractive course for the average player, and also very enjoyable, said Carlos Gallegos, Sales Manager of GTM Golf. The course will open for play next summer as per schedule.
Also, GTM Golf have recently been awarded the contract of the renovation project of the greens of 36-hole course Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club. They will begin in June and it will be one of the first courses in Spain to have Bermuda Ultra dwarf grass on greens. This emblematic golf course is designed by Jose Maria Olazabal.
As well as this project, they have been selected to carry out the renovation project of Alcaidesa Links Golf, Course designed by Dave Thomas. Both golf courses are located in Cádiz, Spain.
Additionally, the spanish builders have already been awarded the construction of 2 new golf courses in Spain, which we will have more information in future newsletters.
Furthermore, before the mentioned projects, GTM Golf is proud of being awarded featured projects as the construction of the Trump International Golf Club in Dubai designed by Gil Hanse Golf Design, the integral renovation of the prestigious Real Club Pineda in Seville designed by Jose Luís Bastarreche, the rebuilt of La Zagaleta Old Course in Marbella designed by EIGCA Member Marc Westenborg, the renovation of La Reserva de Sotogrande designed by Cabell B Robinson, and the renovation of Guadalmina Golf Club, designed by Javier Arana.
