Highs and Lows of 2020 so far……

At the start of 2020 the team at EIGCA Bronze Partner CJW Golf continued our restoration works at New Zealand GC while also continuing our phased bunker works at Guildford GC, also adding two new clients to our portfolio at Camberley Heath GC and Bramley GC.

During March CJW Golf travelled north to Scotland commencing works at Gullane GC, working with EIGCA member James Edwards at EDI Golf Design. The main development of the construction works included EDI’s latest branded practice facilities, comprising of the new 7000m2 short-game academy, which included a new green measuring 1300m2.

Works also included the relocation of the 18th hole green-site and bunkers for Course No.3 and a new putting green outside the visitors’ clubhouse. Works were completed over a period of 4 weeks by our dedicated and hard-working team, while also working with a utilising all materials on site for the construction works.

Fortunately, CJW Golf were able to complete construction works during the early stages of the Covid-19 lockdown, by adhering to social distancing rules on site and implementing our own “bubble” off site.

Covid-19, has had a huge impact on some of our proposed works for 2020 with many clients cancelling bookings for upcoming works, understandable considering the initial bleak outlook.

Though, looking forward, the future is very bright with an unprecedented number of new enquires and bookings taking place, optimism appears very high with some investors and developers. In the coming months we hope to share these new and exciting projects!
