Ecology Surveys

We have received the latest Ecology & Arboricultural Services Newsletter for Spring 2011 from Landscape Planning which includes a chart detailing the best time for conducting ecological surveys for a variety of protected species.

With laws regarding protected species becoming ever more stringent, some authorities now request protected species information prior to permission being granted. Spring signals the end of the hibernation period for many protected species and therefore the start of the ecology surveying season. There are different time frames for each species when it is possible to conduct surveys.

Landscape Planning are licensed to carry out the full range of ecological surveys to the highest standards and have extensive experience of the planning process. Contact them at or me if you would like to see the Survey Timeline.
