Ransomes Jacobsen to supply WINSTONuniversity
John Deere Financial has announced a new finance programme for UK golf club customers this winter.
The scheme is currently running until the end of April 2013, with customers making 1 + 1 annual payments at zero per cent interest for new golf and turf equipment orders placed with a dealer between now and January 2013. The finance is not taken up until delivery of the order, so clubs can choose to start paying for their new equipment at any time to suit their budget.
“Finance is more important than ever for golf courses in the current economic climate,” says John Deere Limited’s turf division sales manager Joedy Ibbotson. “Fixing their machinery and maintenance budgets, or deferring payments until membership subscriptions and green fees come in, means clubs can manage their budgets and costs more effectively. Alternatively, tailor made repayment schedules can always be arranged to match a club's cash flow or other business objectives.”
Eligible equipment for the programme includes John Deere walk-behind and ride-on cylinder and rotary mowers, including the latest E-Cut hybrid electric greens and fairway machines, plus compact and utility tractors, turf aerators and sprayers, and the full Gator utility vehicle range.
Other credit profiles are available on request, and the availability of finance is subject to status and to the usual terms and conditions – further details are available at www.JohnDeereFinancial.co.uk or from John Deere dealers nationwide.
Ransomes Jacobsen, the Ipswich-based manufacturer of commercial mowers and turf maintenance equipment, has signed an exclusive agreement to supply WINSTONuniversity with a range of equipment to aid the teaching of greenkeeping and fine turf students at the new international sportsturf education centre of excellence in Germany. Under the terms of the five-year exclusive supply agreement, Ransomes Jacobsen will provide equipment to facilitate the teaching of a greenkeeping-based curriculum involving both classroom and on-course practical instructions. The company will also provide staff from their Cutting Edge Training division for specialist teaching and every cohort of students will visit the European headquarters in Ipswich at least once a year.
Rupert Price, Sales Director at Ransomes Jacobsen concluded,
“Golf-Tech, our German distributor, was instrumental in setting up this agreement and will provide the equipment that will be used at the three campus sites and during the initial project that will see the students building, growing-in and maintaining a three-hole, par 3 short course.”
Maintaining their expansion into Eastern Europe, Jan Tomcik has been appointed to the role of Export Regional Sales Manager. Reporting to Rupert Price, he will be responsible for business development, equipment sales and dealer support across Poland, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic and the Balkan countries.
“Jan comes to us with a wide knowledge of the heavy truck industry, where he has gained significant experience managing national and international dealer networks. This will be of great value to us as we expand our operations across Eastern Europe, Price said.
