InfraCore - Golf Bridges

InfraCore logo

InfraCore Golf Bridges are a revolutionary new product for the golf and landscape business. Based on both a proven technology and more than 10 years of bridge development, construction and sales to the civil engineering sector across Europe, this highly sustainable fibre-resin composite material is stronger than steel whilst being lighter and far easier to install.

The bridges offer considerable advantages over other more traditional materials such as:

  • 50 year warranty
  • Maintenance free
  • Environmentally friendly with a very low carbon footprint
  • 10x stronger than steel
  • Easy half day installation

Bridges are available as either single span, multi span or modular system swamp bridges and come in a wide variety of colour schemes and railing options as can be seen on our website.

“Knowing that the bridge requires no attention for decades after installation gives me peace of mind, so I can focus on the more important matters of course management and presentation,” said Matt Beaver, superintendent at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge.

Jacklin Golf - Sea Spray - the world’s first patented seeded seashore paspalum variety

Lykia Links Antalya Turkey

Sea Spray is the world’s first patented seeded seashore paspalum variety. It has found its niche in the world’s golf and sports field venues, most recently viewed on television at the 2012 PGA Championship course at the Ocean Course at Kiwah island in South Carolina. On Kiwah Island they were having trouble with salts and the Bermudagrass struggling with high salts. The Club entered into an interseeding program, interseeding Sea Spray over a two year period, and have been able to convert the fairways to over 85% Sea Spray while staying in play, and achieving a greatly improved fairway surface.

In addition to new projects throughout the world, it has been found the use Sea Spray inter-seeded into problem Bermuda greens is a great renovation tool for quick improvement of the putting surface.

Sea Spray is produced and marketed by Jacklin Seed. www.seasprayinfo.com

MJ Abbott - recent projects

MJ Abbott

Wiltshire-based constructor MJ Abbott has entered the winter season with a flurry of jobs for European architects. They’ve been on-site at North Hants Golf Club carrying out bunker remodelling on holes 14, 16 and 17. The architect for the project is Ken Moodie. They’ve also been remodelling bunkers at Burhill Golf Club in Surrey, working with course manager Rob Surgey on a project designed by Tim Lobb. MJ Abbott staff have returned to the Championship course they constructed at Rockliffe Hall in Darlington recently where a new bunker has been constructed under the guidance of Hawtree. Staff have also been called upon to support work being carried out in-house. A shaper has been on-site throughout the year at Ramside Golf Club, assisting course manager Roger Shaw with greens and tees construction, while specialist help with tee re-levelling has been provided to Copt Heath Golf Club’s course manager Jeremy Pitcher.

Profile Products - Greens Renovation? Testing before rebuilding may save you money

Soil testing

Golf course owners are often too quick to fully renovate poor performing greens. However, conducting an undisturbed core sample analysis first can prevent unnecessary material purchases and labor costs. Many greens may only require stripping of the top ten centimeters and modification of the existing mix to perform to new greens mix standards.

The undisturbed core sample analysis will help identify whether issues are confined to the top ten centimeters of a greens mix, or if there are indeed problems with the entire root zone mix that should be removed. Soil testing different sections gives a clear picture of performance capabilities throughout the mix.

Following this analysis, Profile Products can provide recommendations to improve the greens mix. If lower layers function well, they should be left intact. Money (and focus) can instead be dedicated to renovating the top portion of the green by stripping away and replacing this material with a mix custom designed to match the layers below.

Save money while improving performance and reducing down time!
