Congratulations to Jeffrey Danner for his appointment as a Senior Design Associate with Greg Norman Golf Course Design in West Palm Beach, Florida. Jeff was one of our EVQ students graduating in 2009 and became an Associate Member in 2012.

In other news from our members, we see that one is adding another 9 holes to Kankaisten Golf in South-West Finland, while another is carrying out renovations to The Leicestershire Golf Course.

If you enjoyed the golf at this year’s Olympics you will be pleased to hear that Toro, one of our Gold Industry Partners, has helped in supporting Water Conservation Efforts on Rio's Olympic Golf Course, and that Jacobsen, a Silver Industry Partner, supplied equipment to prepare the Course.

We have news from our Bronze Partners Josef Pötter-Golf, Tanto and Team Green, as well as from our new Partners Capillary Concrete and Perrot.

The Rio Olympic Golf Course has been recognised for its commitment and contribution to the enhancement of the environment by the Golf Environment Organization, who have also published a new Sustainable Golf Development standard.

The R&A has announced it is to merge with The Ladies’ Golf Union.

EGCOA has announced that centrally located Amsterdam will be the host city of the 11th Golf Business Conference Europe in November.
