Golf Information News, Vol 7, No 7, September 2010
Welcome to the latest issue of Golf Information News!
The weather here in Surrey has been dismal throughout August. I hope it has been better where you are and that you have enjoyed your summer break.
In this issue I have reviewed a new guide to golf courses which we have received and taken a look at a new website from Golf Management Europe. More
The Rolex World’s Top 1000 Golf Courses, by D’Algue Selection
We have received a copy of this guide to the world's top 1000 golf courses. It is a very nicely presented book, with a page for each golf course, arranged geographically. There is lots of information about each course, including a map and how to find it, contact details, fees and restrictions and - most importantly for us - the name of the architect. It also includes nearby hotels, restaurants and other places of interest, so that you can plan your visit. It is a most useful addition to the Library as it is the only guide with a worldwide coverage, others that we hold are restricted to Europe or individual countries. More

The new service — which will be updated the second a news story breaks — will aim to keep you informed and updated with all the industry news as and when it happens. You can follow the news on Twitter. The new service will also feature the latest job vacancies at golf clubs throughout Europe, together with golf courses for sale. It's totally free and requires no registration! More
KPMG publishes Golf Travel Insights survey of golf tour operators
