The European Occupational Standards for Golf project (GOLF STAND) has been developed with the main objective to produce a range of indispensable European occupational standards aiming at defining the competences, skills and knowledge needed for those working in the sector as golf professionals. As part of England Golf's research strategy, the Golf Club Membership Questionnaire is distributed to all affiliated golf clubs every two years, in order to build up a picture of junior and adult membership within golf clubs in England.
